ART, MUSIC AND DANCE

At SPPS, we recognise the importance that creative arts have in the life of all the pupils. We combine Art, Music and dance and drama to form a comprehensive and exciting approach for developing all pupil’s creativity that build on their strength and interests. The school has separate dedicated faculty to ignite and sustain the creative spark in the students.

PUBLIC SPEAKING

One of the great human fear is public speaking. Being a good speaker is part of being a good leader. Here at SPPS, we put a lot of value into this development phase.  All students in the school are given a chance to present themselves in the school assembly, presentations etc.

SPORTS

Along with the academics, sports also plays a major part in the school curriculum.  Sports helps the students to stay healthy, Gain good fitness level,  Develop leadership skills, Boost emotional fitness, develops a social life, discipline, self-esteem, Co-operation and teamwork. If sports is a part of daily routine, it makes them physically and mentally healthy and help them to stay focused on their studies.

Speech Competition

School also organizes speech competition time to time in order to motivate the students, enhance their speaking skills and to make them bold. Students used to speak up on a particular topic for 5 minutes. This is one of the favorite activity of toppers and brilliant students. This makes them stay mentally healthy and updated with day to day activities or current affairs.

Drawing Competition

Drawing competition is organized by school in order to relax the minds of the students from regular stress of studies. This one day activity helps to boost themselves and show their creativity on the given topic. Those who would like to play with colors take participate in this competition. As drawing is one the compulsory subject for all classes but still we choose a particular day and organize drawing competition for students.

Essay Writing Competition

Essay writing is not just a method of academic assessment, but also an art. This is an art of reporting and describing about a topic. It’s not only requires storytelling skills, but also the presentation of the story. With our Essay Writing Competition, we want to discover essay writing talent from the student community. Given the purpose of an essay is generally to present a logical and reasoned argument, investing time in organizing arguments and ideas.

ICSE School St Philomena’s Public School

St Philomena’s Public School is affiliated to ICSE board.

In our quest for excellence we have been successful in producing cent percent result for all the batches passing out of the ICSE School ever since its inception. State Board St Philomena’s English

The St Philomena’s English was the recognized by the Karnataka State Government in the year 2000.

We started with just 200 students and today it has a distinction of being the top English school in Sarjapura taluk. We have scored cent percent result every time we sent students to 10th board. We have been recognized by the Govt for consistently producing outstanding results .

We have made our presence felt in sports arena too by consistently getting commendable position in athletics and sports events in the taluk. Winning volleyball and throw ball Taluk competitions in 2007, 08, 11,12 Our student Satya Barta Malik has been 400 mtr dist under 14 champ , Taluk Champ for Shuttle 2006-17 are few of our achievements in this field.

We have structured our curriculam to fit in poor, marginalized and middle class children in Sarjapura, Area.

We have a fine and beautiful campus with all the right conditions for children to learn and grow physically as well emotionally.
